The 2010 Miss Kanawha County Fair Pageant is open to women ages 16-22, residing in Kanawha County or is attending school in Kanawha County.

The pageant, to be held opening night of the Kanawha County Fair, includes a private interview with a panel of judges, followed by an evening gown and sportswear competition and question and answer opportunity.

Following the contest, the 2010 Fair Queen will serve during the following three days of the fair and throughout the year as necessary.  The winner will compete in the West Virginia Fairs and Festivals Queen Pageant in January, 2011.

1.  Contestant must be a resident of Kanawha County or is attending school in Kanawha County.

2.  Contestant must not be married, had a marriage annulled, or have ever borne a child.

3.  If chosen as Fair Queen, she agrees to remain single during her reign, agrees not to become pregnant, and understands that if either of these events occurs, the contract will be null and void.

4.  Contestant must have reached her 16th birthday by January 1st of the current year and will not turn 23 years of age on or before December 31st of the current year.

5.  Contestant must be of good moral character and have not been convicted of any felony or crimes.

6.  Contestant has not made any legal obligations that would prevent or limit her participation as a contestant.

7.  If chosen as Kanawha County Fair Queen, contestant must forfeit any other title she may hold that is represented by the West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals’ Queen Contest.

8.  Judges will consider poise, natural beauty, and personality.
